Hey, Law. I know you're eager to go out and train but I just wanted to talk for a bit.

[They've been here for a while now and Alphen is still concerned for Law's well being. How could Law possibly be okay? He's been through a lot and Alphen knows it but he just wants to check on his friend. ]

Am I interrupting anything?

[zephyrean]

Well, you're interrupting me going out to train.

[His tone is light, just ribbing Alphen for his choice of words.]

What's up?

I just wanted to talk unless I picked a bad time for it then I'll come back later.

You really shouldn't push yourself too hard.

[ hes at it again with this. Yep. ]

[zephyrean]

[Now Law's expression falls, giving Alphen a tired expression.]

Come on, man, this again? Working hard's how I work best.

Yeah, I'll remind you as many times as it takes just like how you reminded me before. Zephyr always stopped to tell me it was okay to rest every now and then.

[He's back with Zephyr's words again. Some things never change. ]

You won't be pulling any punches if you trip over with exhaustion. How's your training coming along?

[zephyrean]

[Law has to stifle a groan at Alphen quoting the Zephyr Bible, knowing full well Zephyr could only say those things because of how much doing otherwise cost him.

...and yet here Law is, also working nonstop. Maybe he's more like his old man than he cares to admit.]

It's going great! I think I've really got the hang of this dreamotion stuff now. You should've seen me back in that water balloon fight on the beach, I was like WHAM! and then WHOOSH! and then I was like EAT THIS! It was pretty awesome.

I'm really happy to hear that. You know you did all of that on your own. It's because you're working so hard that you achieved those results.

You should be proud of yourself, Law.

[Alphen gives Law a pat on the shoulder.]

I was busy with a few things and I think I'm making some progress with it. Did you know you can charge crystals with dreamotion to make healing effects? It's been helping me because I can't rely on Shionne for healing all the time.

[zephyrean]

[Ahh sheesh, you're embarrassing him, Alphen, stop.

No actually go on, stroke his ego. It's fragile and needs all the bolstering it can.

He was about to wax on about the things he'd managed to do, but his interest is piqued by what Alphen brings up.]

Seriously, crystals? Well, does it work? How do you use 'em? Do you rub 'em on your body, or chew on 'em like gels, or...

I don't do either of those things. I set crystals on fire with my dreamotion energy and it'll glow like a candle. You can use them as a light source too but it feels like such a waste.

[He frowns and sighs.]

So far I can only charge them once and save it for later. They're nothing like Shionne's healing artes though. Here, check it out.

[Alphen hands Law one of his charged fire crystals. When he holds it he should feel more energized and refreshed. ]

[Law takes the crystal in hand and holds it up to the light. He can the energy from it. He's already starting to feel more reinvigorated, like he could do an extra long training session.]

Huh... No kiddin'...

[It wasn't much, but it was still impressive. Alphen always finding a way...]

You try breaking one yet?

Don't go and do that. That's how you end up with a third degree burns.

[Of course Alphen's crystals burn up when they're broken. His dreamotion energy has that kind of effect to it. Do you want to get burned Law?]

I'm still figuring out how to make these things more effective. An old friend helped me put this together.

Try throwing one, then. You chuck it at a monster's face and it explodes like BLAM! Just imagine one of these babies giving a zeugle third-degree burns, man! It's like a bomb but cooler, because it's your dreamotion!

[Yes, he is being serious here.]

It's not even supposed to do that in the first place. I was trying to find an effect that would help supress the nightmares as well as my sovereign powers. You wouldn't want me to lose control of it, now would you?


[ He lets out a sigh. ]

I was just lucky before but I can't keep relying on luck. You seriously want me to throw the damn thing? It'll be like Shionnes bombs.

[zephyrean]

Yeah, I know, that's the point. Make them versatile!

[Law just gives Alphen a Look. Come on, man, fighting can't be all unga bunga. You've got to know how to adapt.]

You've got this thing you can do, so figure out all the ways you can use it.

Hm, maybe I should let you hold onto some in that case. They might be useful for you.

[ Keep the damn dreamotion crystal Law.]

Just don't burn yourself with it.

[ He's like the last person who should be giving that advice and yet here he is. ]

I don't make a habit of setting myself on fire like you do, y'know.

[Shots fired.]

Just you watch, then, I'll show you how to put these babies to use.

Show me what you've got then. Want to go test them outside right now? You can think of it as more training.

[ Would Law say no to more training? ]

[He's pumped. This is different training, and that's exciting.]
